"Wow!...." Was all Ziya could say. Just the way the light shown down into the dark depths of the ocean took her breath away. Her air pocket a the bottom of the dark depths held more than enough air for her to be down there for hours but the whole experience was still a little nerve racking. She looked all around her and was surprised how much life the ocean could still hold this late into winter. The schools of fish swam quickly and curiously around the strange bubble like pocket. Then her world went very dark. She looked up and could barley make out the shadowy outline of an enormous glacier. The large icy structure loomed ahead of her for what seemed like forever. It reminded Ziya of a dark icy heart, you never know just when it will crack. Even though it was threatening, like every where, water holds life. She saw the polar sea lions swimming around the huge glacier and looked so small in comparison. Just as she was moving her air bubble to go back to the tribe, a movement caught her eye. Something was chasing her! She quickly propelled the bubble as fast as she could through the icy waters, looking back only in small glances. It, whatever it was,was gaining fast! As she looked back, she didn't notice the massive glacier in front of her. Then she collided. Her bubble popped and her vision was blocked by the air bubbles racing to the surface. Ziya's lungs screamed for air as she moved the current around her to race herself to the surface. But where was the the thing that was chasing her? She didn't have time to think about that. She reached the surface and breathed in the cool arctic air, filling her lungs as she froze the water around her and propelled her block of ice over the crashing waves. She looked back for a split second just in time to see her fellow class mate Akita, coming out of the water and following in hot pursuit. So that was it. It was all a game! Well if he wanted a game, then thats what he was going to get! She lifted the wave she was riding and flew through the air sending back a rainstorm of icicles as she went. Akita block them with a continuos wall of water shielding him from any blows. Ziya felt her stomach being left behind as she plummeted back towards the icy, cold waters. She gathered up a tower of water to ride and then slowly melted it as she saw the approaching city. Ziya landed with a thud and the ice rose around her with the impact. Thats what Ziya's talking about, she thought as she bended the chilly water off her parka. With a jolting realization she wondered what happened to Akita? She looked over to see him sitting on a chair of ice, sipping tea. "Oh, Ziya I was wondering what happened to you! you took so long to come back I thought you might have gotten lost. It's good to see that yo-" he stopped mid-sentence as Ziya shot a blast of water at him and then froze it all the way up over his mouth. She walked up close to him and said very slowly, "Maybe not this time, but you just wait and see Akita. One day I'll beat you so hard that you'll be begging for mercy. And until that day comes, you better watch your back and sleep with your eyes open because I'll be there, waiting." Then Ziya walked away leaving Akita with a frightened look on his face. Then she turned around to him laughing so hard and unfroze him. "Ziya, your crazy. You know that?" he asked between laughter. "Yeah, i know." she replied. This day was off to a good start.
