Days after the art class most of the northern water tribe citizens were confined to there homes because of the blizzard. It snowed for days, the weather unmerciful. Ziya would have probably gone crazy from boredom if she hadn't brought in some snow and used it to practice her water bending skill inside the huge temple. Just when everyone was about to crack to insanity, the snow let up and the sun shown down. Ziya quickly put on her favorite parka and gloves and raced outside. "Hey Zi!" Cai shouted from across the expanse of freshly fallen snow. It was incredibly deep! Probably around 3 feet! Ziya bended the snow out of her path to go greet her friend. Behind Cai was her older brother, Akita. Akita was very tall and had a swimmers build. He wore a light blue parka and had his hair down with a small pony in the back. Ziya greeted them both and then had the idea to go explore the tundra. It would be beautiful after the heavy snow fall and fun to hang out in. "So Cai, what do you think?" Ziya asked after explaining her idea. "I think you two will get lost out there. Sounds like fun! See ya." Akita said mischievously and smirked. Ziya bended a huge snowball at him, covering all of him except his head. "Well that takes care of that." Ziya laughed with Cai. Then she bounded away through the snow with her friend. When they reached her buffalo yak, the got on and tied a small wagon to the back. It contained a few emergency things like a tent and food but Ziya was almost positive it would be useless on this trip. Cai came over with a blanket and some sweet treats and attached them to the back. "Ready?" Ziya asked as Cai got on the animal. "Ready as I'll ever be," Cai fired back sarcastically. "Well then lest go!" Ziya said excitedly. Then Ziya gave the command, "Hah!" And they rode off towards the unwelcoming frozen tundra. After about 20 minutes they reached the frozen wasteland. Even though it kept people out with its frigid threats, it was beautiful as the snow glistened under the warm rays of the arctic sun. "Wow." Cai breathed. For once, Ziya's friend Cai was at a lost for words. Usually nothing would shut that girl up! "Well let go then!" They found a nice over hang behind a small ice block sticking out of the ground and laid out the blanket and set out the goodies. "Well this is nice." Cai muttered in between bites of a seaweed custard. "Yeah and when were done stuffing our faces we can go explore!" Morning turned into afternoon as the two girl got up to walk across the barren slab of ice that was the tundra. Just when they were about to head back to their little makeshift campsite Ziya hear a short, shallow groan of someone in pain. "Cai come quick! I think someone's hurt!" The girls quickly raced across the icy land to where the sound had come from. There, laying on the ground was a bright red spot on the white tundra. "Wait!" Cai cried as they made there way over to the unconscious girl. "What if she's dangerous?" Looking down at the pathetic heap of the bruised unconscious girl Ziya just sighed. "Yes Cai I'm totally scared that the half dead girl is gonna eat me for lunch! What in the world should we do? Alert the warriors!!!" Cai gave Ziya an annoyed look and said snottily, "Well excuse me for taking some precautions. If it were up to you, last week we would have gone up to the huge polar bear that knocked down half the outer wall and stroked it's back saying good little bear!" Ziya just shrugged her shoulder and said, "Lets get focused. We have got a possibly dead girl laying on the ice." They set to work and lifted her off the freezing ice and laid her on the blanket back at camp. Ziya thought for a split second that the strange girl woke up as her eyes flickered open, but then they rolled back and she was knocked out again. "Cai, your a healer, do some magic on her and make her live!" Ziya requested quickly. "Well if you insist." Cai said bashfully. "Oh just hurry up and heal her." Ziya snapped. Cai then melted some snow into water and then made it glow. She laid her hands on the girls head and stared to move the water around. Just then the girl's eyes snapped open and she sat up and coughed up some water. "Who and what are you?" the girl asked with a disgusted look on her face. Friendly, Ziya thought. "I should ask you the same question." Ziya snapped right back. "Well if you must know, I am Abhaya. Ancestor of the current fire lord Zuko and I'm also a master fire bender so back off you peasants, if you don't want to get burned." Ziya and Cai stared at each other, sharing the same thought of "What have we awakened now?"
