Rules of Conduct
1) NO harassing other players. I mean it, if someone tells me about harassment the offending party will be given a chance to explain and then action will be taken up to and including a permanent ban.
Harassment Includes:
2) No Sexually Explicit threads.
~The rating max here will be PG13, as one has to be 13 to join the boards anyway. Remember, even though it can be fun to write a lemon in chat, there are many people who are offended by it. It also violates the boards TOS. Violence and innocent nudity are different. (Like a fight that shows blood or Iroh's bath scene.)
~~What falls into a PG-13 Rating (taken from Wikipedia)
3) No netspeak in role playing posts. While I don’t care if you use it in the OOC boards, any use of l33t and netspeak in the role playing forums will earn punishment. The first will result in a warning, the second will result in you being asked to shape up, or to leave the board. The latter only if the transgression is of a serious nature, or is a repeated offense. If it continues, you will be banned. No one wants to spend their time translating l33t when trying to read a role playing post.
On the same note, role playing posts must contain at least one sentence. And no emotes. In other words going “Yes” is fine, but posting ^____^ Is not. (If that’s the only thing your posting. A role playing post may include emotes if it complements the text. Though, we would encourage you to not make a habit of it.
4) No power playing or God moding. For those of you who don’t know what it is, power playing is magically dodging every attack and always ending up fine where god moding is controlling the characters of others. Neither of these will be tolerated, and if the offense if proven, you will be banned. Our own General Iroh will be dealing with this specifically, and he's a crochety old bastard at the best of times. So be wary.
5) Respect other players. These are real people here, and they have real feelings. If you can’t respect another player, no matter who they are, then you should go somewhere else.
6) For minor and created characters, post once a week. For major characters, 2 to three times a week. If you are going to be absent, let us know so I don’t delete you before you get back. I understand that things come up, but activity makes it fun for everyone else. No one wants to wait for weeks for a reply.
7) How many characters can I have?
8) Our mods would like to point out that in game actions have in game consequences!
9) Our mods would also like to point out that this game is not a democracy. While we will make every effort to make sure you have a good roleplaying experience, please remember that the mods are doing this out of their own free time. Treat this game as a benevolent dictatorship.
10) Have fun! ~ The most important rule, we want everyone to have a good time.
1) NO harassing other players. I mean it, if someone tells me about harassment the offending party will be given a chance to explain and then action will be taken up to and including a permanent ban.
Harassment Includes:
- ~Unwanted Sexual advances (This board tops at PG-13!)
- ~Putting down of someone exclusively
- ~The use of bad language to degrade someone
- ~Bashing that person, their religion, sexual orientation or anything else personal.
- ~Trolling. Yes, boys and girls, trolling is a form of harassment.
2) No Sexually Explicit threads.

~~What falls into a PG-13 Rating (taken from Wikipedia)
- If a film uses "one of the harsher sexually-derived words" (such as f**k) once, it is routine today for the film to receive a PG-13 rating, provided that the word is used as an expletive and not with a sexual meaning (this was mentioned in Be Cool, when Chili Palmer complains about the movie industry. If such language is used more than once, or once if in a sexual context, it usually receives an R rating.
- A reference to alcohol, drugs, tobacco or other controlled substances usually gets a movie a PG-13 at a minimum, though a few movies are rated ocasionally PG for mild references.
- A "graphic" or "explicit" alcohol, drug, tobacco or another substance scene is earning a film an R at a minimum. (However, mild use of any of those still counts as PG13)
- If a film contains strong sexual content, it usually receives an R rating.
- While total female nudity is permitted in an R-rated movie, any display of naked male genitalia will (usually) result in an NC-17 rating unless it's non-sexual. (So, no full nudity, you’ll realize in the Iroh’s Bath scene you never saw below the waist.)

7) How many characters can I have?
- Three. You can have one canon character and two created characters. Or one major character, one minor character and one created character. Provided you can keep up with it. ^_____^
