Name: Kirren
Age: 15
Nationality: Northern Water Tribe
Job: Healer
Hair: Dark brown; tied in a ponytail; occasionally in pigtails, or in a bow
Eyes: Blue
Weight: 99 lbs.
Height: 4’11”
Family: Mother, father, and aunt. All at the North Pole.
Likes: Peace, girly things, other people, roast duck, the simple pleasures in life, helping out others (particularly by healing their wounds)
Dislikes: Vulgarity, bloodshed, war, being alone, anger, arguments, being scammed
Combat/Bending Skills: Kirren knows a few waterbending tricks, but he absolutely /refuses/ to fight. He instead uses his bending ability to heal.
Talents: Healing, socializing, a good sense of right and wrong, understanding other people’s motives, talking things though.
Motivation: Though he has seen many wonderful things, Kirren has also seen much pain and violence. He healed anyone he could and attempted to mediate through whatever fighting was going on because of how disgusted the violence made him feel. His love of peace is his motivation for healing, not fighting.
Personality: Caring, empathetic, outgoing, friendly, sensitive, naïve
Personality Strengths: Kirren is very compassionate and empathetic. He absolutely REFUSES to fight, because the sight of people in pain sickens him. He probably wouldn’t even fight for his life. He tends not to choose sides, and will heal virtually anyone.
Personality Flaws: Kirren is very sensitive; he’s an easy crier. He can be naïve and easily influenced at times.
Weaknesses: He is quite a weakling, simply put. He will not fight at all, even for his life! Usually he puts others before himself, but to such a large extent that he hardly cares for his own needs at all.
Brief History: Born in the Northern Water Tribe, Kirren was raised to typical gender roles- boys fight, girls heal. Boys hunt, girls cook. And so forth. Imagine his parents’ surprise when Kirren refused to fight and wanted to heal instead? Worse still, Kirren tended to enjoy wearing feminine robes. Obviously, something had to be done to change this ‘misguided’ child’s mind. He was temporarily sent away from the Northern Water Tribe so that he could ‘wise up’ and ‘forget all of this girly nonsense.’
But Kirren found that a traveling life was one that he enjoyed. It was exciting and new; there were so many new people and places, and he had a clean slate. It has been nearly six months since he was sent away from the Northern Water Tribe, and though he has seen many wonderful things, Kirren has also seen pain and violence on his journey. He healed anyone he could, and attempted to stop whatever fighting was occurring. People often scorn him still for being such a ‘girly-man pacifist.’
Description: Kirren is small for his age; he’s 15, but he looks quite like a twelve-year-old. He has dark hair, tanned skin, and blue eyes, like most Waterbenders do. However, his hair is tied back in a low ponytail reaching his upper back, and he wears rather girlish clothing. This gives him a very feminine appearance. Basically, he looks like a girl. He doesn’t mind, though. It’s /his/ look.
Role Playing Sample: And so, another lazy morning began. Kirren sat up drowsily, wiping the crust from his eyes while trying to ignore the fact that yes, he was indeed awake. The young healer had a terrible taste in his mouth; he let out a tremendous yawn, and reluctantly stood up and stretched to jolt himself awake.
Usually Kirren was quite the morning person, but he had just woken up from a fabulous dream woven together with teapots, clouds, and all the roast duck his imagination could spawn. It was a shame that his dream was simply a dream, and nothing more...
-Plip.-
Kirren blinked, looked up, and saw that the morning had brought him overcast skies- a sure forecast of rain. Sure enough, rain began to drizzle down. Kirren let out a startled yelp and began to pack up camp as quickly as possible. He sincerely hoped that events wouldn't continue in this pattern for the rest of the day!
